In its 60th year of operation LIAT, The Caribbean Airline has renewed its support of Antigua Sailing Week as the Official Regional Air Carrier.
LIAT offers travellers the ability to easily access any of 18 destinations of choice as well as excellent connections with international carriers serving the major hubs of the Caribbean with competitive and affordable fares.
Of its sponsorship of Antigua Sailing Week 2016 Chief Executive Officer of LIAT, David Evans says, ‘Antigua Sailing Week continues to be one of the key events that puts Antigua on both the regional and the international map. It marks the end of the Caribbean yacht racing season but also the start of the summer festival season and is therefore a major event on the regional calendar. We are delighted to be part of the team that ensures sailors and partygoers from around the region can travel to and enjoy this fantastic week.’
LIAT is offering sailors participating in Antigua Sailing Week and their companions a 25% discount on flights booked by March 11 for travel between April 12 and May 7, 2016. To receive the discount sailors must first qualify by filling in a form on the Antigua Sailing Week website.
As part of the agreement LIAT is also sponsoring the LIAT Schools Art Competition. In its 49th year, the competition invites children in three age groups between 5 and 18 years to compete for the chance to win some exciting prizes, including LIAT flights. First, second and third place winners are awarded prizes in each of the three age groups, and a people’s choice award will be voted for on the LIAT Schools Art Facebook page. One overall winner will be chosen and his or her art will be printed to adorn the Schools Art posterboard at the entrance to English Harbour.
