The media centre will be located upstairs the Officers Quarters, Nelson’s Dockyard. A wifi internet connection will be provided for your use daily. The centre will be open daily from 8:30 am to 6 pm from Thursday 22nd April to Friday 30th April, 2021. A notice board will be used throughout the week to leave important messages and general updates.
NB: Press must complete registration to become accredited – registration will take pace Thursday 22nd April.
Acquafilms will be filming daily throughout the event. Video will be uploaded to YouTube and embed codes will be available for insertion into your website. Daily round up reports will be distributed via YouTube and our mailing list. VNR’s will also be uploaded daily to our FTP server. Please request login details if you wish to use it. Any requests for commercial usage of footage must be requested in writing to: [email protected]. NB: For access, please request login details and passwords from Trish Jenkins – [email protected].
A press boat will be going out to watch the racing and is available for accredited media registered with the media centre, from Sunday 25th April through to Friday 30th April (excluding the Lay Day Wednesday 28th April).
Priority will be given to media with confirmed assignments and places distributed fairly throughout the period of the regatta to allow everyone a chance to get out on the water. Bookings must be made with the Press Officer in the Media Centre and re-confirmed the day before when details of timings etc. will be given.
We will also do our best to accommodate your requirements to provide press coverage from onboard a yacht during the regatta, however please note there will be very limited places available. Please let us know your requirements and if you would like any assistance with identifying a suitable boat by contacting: [email protected]. The latest entry list can be found here.
Daily race reports/press releases will be sent out to accredited media and a worldwide press list. If you want to be added to the list please email [email protected].
Images will be loaded daily onto the website www.sailingweek.com and a select number will be issued with the daily press release. These are supplied free to media for editorial use and must be used with supplied credit. Hi-res can be made available on request: [email protected].
