The theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” encourages young artists to explore the significant role renewable energy plays in reducing the carbon footprint of Antigua and Barbuda, fostering a sustainable future for our islands.

Objective:

The primary goal of this competition is to inspire students to engage with the concept of renewable energy and its environmental impact. Through creative expression, participants will showcase their understanding of renewable energy sources and envision a greener future for their communities.

Themes & Categories:

Participants are invited to create artwork that highlights the following themes related to renewable energy:

Renewable Energy in Action:

Solar Power and Community Impact:

Develop an art piece that emphasizes the importance of solar panels. Highlight the benefits to the environment, the community, and the cost savings associated with solar energy usage.

Barbuda’s Renewable Future:

Imagine and create an image of what Barbuda would look like if it were solely powered by renewable energy. Focus on the transformation of landscapes, communities, and lifestyles with sustainable energy solutions.

World A & World B – A Vision for the Future:

Design an art piece that contrasts two worlds ten years from now: one powered solely by renewable energy (World A) and the other reliant on traditional energy sources (World B). Depict the differences in environmental health, community well-being, and overall quality of life.
