The brand new fleet of 10 Dragons at the Harmony Hall Yacht Club have been accepted for the upcoming Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta April 17-22 and Antigua Sailing Week April 27 – may 3 , 2008
The dragons are celebrating their 77 th Anniversary this year and are eligible for the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta by virtue of their age and hull design . The yachts are all race ready with brand new sail inventories and race prepared bottoms . They will get their own start and will sail with full spinnaker gear just like the Spirit of Tradition class . They are all identical boats so there is no handicap therefore who comes first across the line wins.
Antigua Sailing Week is also encouraging the Dragons to participate with the formation of their own class. They will be sailing the B division class with full spinnaker gear and will also be sailing for line honours among themselves.
The Dragons are being offered for charter for each event with free dockage at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina . This is a great opportunity to race on these truly beautiful yachts in 2 of the worlds premier regatta’s.
